The Gain Mindset

One of the biggest obstacles to growth is getting stuck in "the gap”.

The gap is a fake valley that you trap yourself in by constantly measuring yourself against an ideal. Especially one that moves further away the closer you get. This makes your journey feel traumatic and exhausting.

Try living in the gain. Measure backward against your past self rather than forward against an impossible ideal. This mindset shift makes the scary process of letting go of 80% of your business and life not just manageable but enjoyable.

Gain-minded entrepreneurs derive motivation from progress. They regularly reflect on and measure their growth, which provides confidence and momentum for future jumps. They see gains everywhere—learning from every experience, even apparent setbacks.

When you're in the gain, everything happens for you, not to you. You become antifragile, constantly improving from all experiences. This perspective helps you recognize that you've already evolved many times in your life.

Buy Yourself Into The Deal With EMD

Want to know one of the most overlooked ways to beat other wholesalers to the deal?

It's your earnest money deposit (EMD).

While inexperienced wholesalers are putting down tiny EMDs ($50-500), real pros are securing deals with minimum deposits of $3,000 or more. This accomplishes several things at once — It demonstrates you're a serious buyer with capital, it weeds out amateur competitors who can't match it, and it often leads to better price and terms.

Think about it from the seller's perspective. If you were choosing between two similar offers, would you go with the investor putting $100 down or the one putting $3,000 down? The higher EMD signals confidence and commitment.

This approach isn't just about winning the deal. It's about elevating your business to a more professional level where you're competing based on credibility rather than just price. And for many sellers, that credibility is worth its weight in gold.

The Three C's of Linguistic Power

Want your words to have more impact?

Master the Three C's of Linguistics: Captivating, Confident, and Concise.

Being captivating involves painting vivid pictures with your words through storytelling, engaging nonverbal communication, and compelling narratives. It's about pulling people in rather than pushing information at them.

Speaking confidently isn't just about volume or tone. It's about conveying certainty and conviction in what you're saying. This comes from genuine belief in your message and mastery of your subject matter. People are drawn to those who speak with clear conviction.

Being concise means eliminating fluff and getting straight to the point. In a world of information overload, the ability to communicate powerfully with fewer words is invaluable. It shows respect for the listener's time and demonstrates that you've thought carefully about what's truly important.

Think about how three qualities work together. Captivating speech keeps attention, confident delivery builds trust, and concise messaging ensures your key points aren't diluted.

This doesn’t only apply to sales. It applies to communication in general. And as a bonus tip: This works really freaking well for video content.
